At the Beaverton Resource Center (BRC), our mission is to connect individuals and families to essential services and resources. Below, you’ll find a breakdown of the support we provide and areas where we refer individuals to other organizations for assistance.

Resource Broker Services

If your need falls outside our services, we can help connect you to the right organization. We work closely with local nonprofits, government agencies, and social service providers to ensure you get the help you need.

Financial Assistance

We offer limited financial assistance up to $350 for utilities and rent to individuals and families who qualify.

To qualify, you must:

Live in Beaverton or the surrounding area
Provide proof of need
Have a plan for future financial stability
Be no more than three months past due on a bill
Meet income eligibility requirements

Food Assistance

We help individuals and families access food through our Care to Share program and our partner food pantries at local churches, including:

Murray Hills Christian Church (Beaverton)
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (Portland)
St. Cecilia Catholic Church (Beaverton)
St. Matthew Lutheran Church (Beaverton)
St. Pius X Catholic Church (Portland)
Sunset Presbyterian Church (Portland)

Health & Wellness Services

We support community health through:

Oregon Health Plan (OHP) Registration
Care and Connect (Kaiser Permanente)
Dental Clinics (Medical Teams International)
Vision Clinics (Casey Eye Institute, Pacific University)
Mammography Clinics (OHSU)
Wellness Classes on stress management, nutrition, and mental health

Emergency Support (Onsite at BRC)

Emergency food support for those in immediate need
Basic toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.)

🚫 What We Don’t Do

While we offer many services, some needs are better handled by specialized organizations. We do not provide:

❌ County Housing Vouchers –

For housing assistance, we can refer you to Washington County Housing Services.

❌ DMV-Related Services –

We do not provide help with driver’s licenses, ID renewals, or registration.

❌ Eviction Assistance

If you are facing eviction, we can connect you to tenant advocacy programs.

❌ Domestic Violence Assistance –

While we do not provide direct services, we can connect you with organizations specializing in domestic violence support and shelter.
