At the Beaverton Resource Center, we believe that no one should have to face life's challenges alone. Whether you're seeking food assistance, financial support, or wellness resources, we are here to offer a helping hand and a path forward
The Beaverton Resource Center was founded on the belief that access to essential services should be simple, welcoming, and empowering. It all started when local community members, Lisa Mentesana and Al Schmitt saw families struggling with food insecurity, housing instability, and a lack of critical resources. Rather than standing by, they took action—bringing together services under one roof to make a lasting difference.
Since opening our doors, we’ve helped thousands of individuals and families find stability, support, and hope for a brighter future.
We connect people with the essential services they need, all in one place. Through our partnerships with local organizations, we provide:
✔️Food Assistance – Access to food pantries and emergency onsite food support
✔️Financial Aid – Help with rent and utilities for those qualifying clients..
✔️Health & Wellness – OHP registration, free medical, dental, and vision screenings through Kaiser, Medical Teams International.
✔️Family Support – Clothing, diapers, and necessities for children through NWCO
✔️Employment Resources – Monthly onsite job fairs from Goodwill Job Connection
Our goal is simple: to provide a compassionate, one-stop hub where everyone in our community can find the help they need.
In 2024 alone, thanks to our dedicated team and generous supporters:
✔ 10,000+ meals were distributed to local families
✔ 500+ families received emergency financial assistance
✔ 1,200+ individuals benefited from free health screenings
✔ 8,000+ community members accessed vital services
Behind every number is a story of resilience, hope, and a brighter future.
