Helping Families Bridge the Gap Between Hunger and Hope

The Bridge to Pantry (BTP) program at the Beaverton Resource Center supports our Care to Share Food Pantry Network by providing same-day food assistance to individuals and families when all food pantry appointments are full.

Every week, local community groups, schools, businesses, and caring neighbors donate nonperishable foods and $25 grocery gift cards that allow families to purchase fresh items such as milk, dairy, and produce, these essentials are not a part of BTP as we lack the storage and refrigeration capacity at the BRC.

The Bridge to Pantry program helps ensure that no one goes hungry while waiting for their scheduled food pantry appointment.

✅ How It Works

  • When Care to Share appointments are fully booked, families in need can receive a Bridge to Pantry food box with enough food to carry them over to their appointment, and a $25 grocery gift card to purchase perishable items on the same day they request food.

  • Donations come from local organizations, businesses, faith partners, and community members who want to make an immediate impact.

  • Any surplus food is distributed throughout our Care to Share Food Pantry Network to help other families in need.

How You Can Help

Your generosity keeps this vital program running week after week.

You can support the Bridge to Pantry program by:

  • Donating nonperishable foods such as canned fruits, vegetables, proteins, and shelf-stable meal items.

  • Purchasing $25 grocery gift cards (Safeway, WinCo, Fred Meyer, or Target preferred).

  • Organizing a group drive to collect food or gift cards for local families.

All donations stay right here in our community—feeding families, supporting dignity, and building hope.
